Wren Caswell is average. Ranked in the middle of her class at Sacred Heart, she’s not popular, but not a social misfit. Wren is the quiet, “good” girl who's always done what she's supposed to—only now in her junior year, this passive strategy is backfiring. She wants to change, but doesn’t know how.
Grayson Barrett was the king of St. Gabe’s. Star of the lacrosse team, top of his class, on a fast track to a brilliant future—until he was expelled for being a “term paper pimp.” Now Gray is in a downward spiral and needs to change, but doesn’t know how.
One fateful night their paths cross when Wren, working at her family’s Arthurian-themed catering hall, performs the Heimlich on Gray as he chokes on a cocktail weenie, saving his life literally and figuratively. What follows is the complicated, awkward, hilarious, and tender tale of two teens shedding their pasts, figuring out who they are—and falling in love.
My Review
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was incredible! I loved it from beginning to end! the characters were so real and every day and the story, so inspiring. Robin Constantine is a brilliant author and I would defiantly read more of her work!
Wren is down because her life just seems to be so plain. She gets good grades, she works hard and she is what her teachers call a "quite" student. When is tired of being the good and boring child, she wishes she was more like her fun and outgoing older siblings.
Grayson thought he had it all grades, girls, the best friends he could ask for and he was star of the lacrosse team. Then one fateful day it gets all taken away when he is caught for pimping term papers at his school. Now he doesn't have any of it as he has been expelled from school and his friends have run off, will his life ever be happy again?
One fateful night Grayson and When come upon each other across a tray of cocktail weenie's and as fate would have it When ends up saving Greyson's life by performing the Heimlich on him. Together they find love, happiness and an eternal hope in happily ever after.
