About AliveFlesh-eating zombies, dirty sex, and a shattered past…
What’s more dangerous—the man who broke her heart or those trying to eat it?
Fighting to survive, Eve finds herself alone in the world after the Crave—the only parallel of her former life. On the hunt for her sister, she runs into Gage—the first and only boy to have her heart and break it. It’s been four years and he isn’t a boy anymore, nor is he the same person he used to be. Against her better judgment, Eve agrees to stay with him when he divulges information on a safe haven near the small town they grew up in—but that doesn’t mean she has to like it…
Returning home elicits a myriad of emotions that both Eve and Gage thought they had buried. The past and present collide and they are forced to the face bitter deceits that ruined them in the before and threaten to destroy them now…
My ReviewAlive by Megan D. Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was an amazing book! Megan Martin is a brillant writer and I couldn't put the book down for a second! I have a deep and sinful love of Zombie stories and this one has just soared to the top of the list, it was suspenseful, witty and the characters kicked some major ass!
Eve has lost everything since the infection spread killing off pretty much the whole planet. Lost and alone she is to tired to go on fighting and has decided to give up when a voice shouts to her, braking her out of her stupor and killing the Zombies about to eat her. Eve hasn't seen Gage in 4 years, not since he broke her heart and humiliated her back in high school. He is no longer the boy she knew and this life has changed him into a battle weary man, who has fought long and hard and lost much just like so many.
Gage can't believe it when he sees Eve across the field, its been 4 years but yet when he looks at her the years disappear and he sees her as she was all those years ago. He can't take back the hurt that he wrought back then but maybe now is his chance to make up for what was done. Eve has been changed much by the world and her losses though for she is no longer the shy and scared girl he once knew. She fights him at every turn and she denies that she feels anything for him still. How is he to tell her that he never once stopped loving her?
Together they make their way toward sanctuary, a place called Eden. If they can make it there alive that is.
I so loved this book! Megan is such an awesome writer that I felt like I was inside the pages of the story right along with the characters as they were being attacked! You felt there heartache drip off the pages as if you could physically reach out and hug them yourself. this was such and incredible story that I will be reading it over and over for years to come!

About the authorMegan D. Martin is a multi-published author, mother, student and editor. She writes New Adult Romance with a bloody, sexy twist. Her characters are damaged souls who find each other in the dark and have to fight for a love they may or may not deserve.
In her spare time Megan plays Batman with her incredibly sweet son, watches too many episodes of Vampire Diaries (Ian, call me!), buys fish for her many fish tanks, and has long talks with Gandaldore (the little writing wizard that sits on her desk.) She is well known for losing her keys and has more than one nerdy tattoo.
