Taste by Kate Evangelista
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
truly amazing and inspired! I have never read another like it! Kate Evangeliata is a kick ass writer! the detail and the imagination in her storytelling is breathtaking, I couldn't put the book down!
As a incredible fan of the strange and usual this book drew me in like a moth to a flame, the characters where so amazing an incredible. The humans above average in intelligence, while the Zhamvy are a race unlike any other ever, smarter, faster, stronger then we could ever hope to be. All in a school and the one is not suppose to know about the other and where one slip up can ruin everything.
The way that Kate describes the life of these Zhamvy is amazing, everything about their life is structured and ordered. Their royal court is so old yet at the same time so modern, the mix of the old in new in the book was fascinating especially when it came to battles and festivals.
The Love that the main characters Phoenix and Demitri have for each other is human but at the same time not and is affected by others and puts and interesting twist into the story, as well as the bringing into of the third and fourth parties Luka and Calixta. It brings hell down not only on their heads but the whole school of course and all hell brakes loose.
Kate is an Goddess of writing and I can't wait to see more of this story! I really hope she writes more! I would love to see what more was in store for the princes and for the whole Zhamvy nation!
