Amazing Book! I couldn't put it down. This book series was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say I totally loved it! I had no idea who the bad guy was and all the twists and turns I totally didn't see coming! that never happens in a book I always know when certain things are going to happen but this one kept me on my toes from on min to the next.
Kate Winters doesn't know much but she does know one thing for certain, that the most important person in her life is going to die and leave her alone, and there is no way that Kate is ready to say goodbye.
Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests, but everyone who has ever taken the test so far has failed or been killed. will she be next?
Kate isn't sure she really believes it all anyway until one night when she sees him bring someone back from the dead. Can everything they have been telling her really be real? Can see pass the tests and win Henry's Tortured heart? She must because failure is no longer an option.
Aimee Carter is now one of my favorite Authors! I love her storytelling it is so spellbinding and magical that you become a part of every word on the page. I cant wait to read more!

OMG! I soooo loved this book! I loved the battles, love intrigue, the twists and turns! ah it was all epic! I did have times when I wanted to smack all of the gods upside the head....lol....but if you are into mythology you would know that the gods are that selfish for the most part and really bad communicators! Carter says it the best in her book when she says that just because they are Gods doesn't mean they are the good guys or that they are perfect.
Kate Winters has spent the summer away and cant wait to return home to the loving husband she left, only when she returns home she finds Henry distant and withdrawn, Kate thinks that maybe he is just busy with the upcoming preparations for her coronation so she leaves it be. The day she is to be Crowned Queen of the Underworld they are attacked! Calliope is back and she has awoken Cronus King of the Titans, and she plans on taking all of the Gods down. With the help of the unlikeliest of new acquaintances Kate must do what she has to, to save her new family and the man she loves, even if it means he chooses to love someone else instead.
Just like the other two I couldn't put this down I really can't wait to see what is next for Kate and Henry!
