WW4BB Presents: A Review of Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case : A Nocturne Falls Mystery by Kristen Painter

Posted by wiccawitch4 on 7:26:00 am

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town where Halloween is celebrated 365 days a year.

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter, Santa Claus’s niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now…private investigator. Sort of.

Needing someone he can trust, her father sends her undercover to Nocturne Falls to find out why employees at the Santa’s Workshop toy store are going missing.

Doing that requires getting to know the town, which leads to interesting encounters with a sexy vampire, an old flame, and an elevator that’s strictly off-limits. The more Jayne finds out, the more questions she has, but the answers lead her deeper into danger.

Will her magic save her? Or will she come up cold?

Frequently Asked Questions!

* Will there be more short stories? - I don't have any planned at the moment, but they are fun to write, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

* When's the next Nocturne Falls book coming out? - The next
Nocturne Falls book should be out in June if all goes well. I'm writing it right now!

* When's the next audiobook coming out? - I have less control over audiobooks, but trust me when I tell you I try to get them out as quickly as I can. The actual release date is up to Audible because all books have to go through their quality control system before they go live. And I have no way to speed that up. All the Nocturne Falls and Jayne Frost books will be coming on audio, though!

My Review

Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case : A Nocturne Falls Mystery by Kristen Painter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was given to me by the Author In Exchange For an Honest Review.

This book was beautiful, inspiring and creative! Kristen never fails to amaze and wow when it comes to her incredible generous, she has talent in spades and this series shows how she can whip it out in handfuls of ice and snow!..lol

Jayne Frost daughter of the renown Jack Frost is coming to Nocturne Falls to investigate a string of disappearing winter elves. Jayne is a wonderful character, I found her to be full of life and heartfelt emotion. She really doesn't want to be a princess, she just wants to be herself. She finds that people treat her differently because of her status and she doesn't like it. She wants to be like everyone else.

Jaynes investigation leads her down some dark and dangerous paths, her curiosity also gets her into to trouble a lot. She has magic on her side though and she gets her way out of it more then she doesn't. She is very resourceful and brave and defiantly someone I would want on my side in a fight.

Juniper and Buttercup were very interesting characters. As Jaynes friends they we great and I loved them both and as individuals they were both very different. Juniper you couldn't help but love she was quirky, bubbly, and fun. She was always nice and always happy and would forgive anyone anything. Buttercup on the other hand is a little more of the higher maintenance type of friend, she is opinionated, sharp and sassy. I really liked her because of these things as well because it took more to earn her friendship and she wouldn't hold back when she had something to say.

Kristen Painter is an amazing author! I have read and loved her books forever and every time I read one I am still blown away by her talent. She can go from genre to genre with a bat of a eyelash, and create characters in the magic of a smile. She is creative genius and I can never wait to read the words from the next stroke of her pen.

don't miss out on your chance to do it too! get your hands on this new series today!
