Numbers by Rachel Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
this was a really good book and my first British read in a long long time. It was a really down to earth novel one that really hits home as I find a lot of British stories do.
You really Identify with Jem a girl who has nowhere and no one until she meets Spider. when Jem sees a whole group of people with the same number at the London Eye she knows something bad is going to happen and they are all going to die. She quickly flees with Spider and then the cops are after them for questioning but how do you tell the cops that the reason you knew they were all going to die is because you can see there deaths? The two of them go on the run together faced with Jem's secret but time is running out for them and the cops are catching up.
Rachel Ward is a amazing writer I couldn't put the book down and when it was all over had to immediately pick up the next book the chaos! I defiantly recommend it to one and all!

This book was good but I didn't like it as much as the previous two although this one had more bad guys was all everyone is out to get you it just felt a little over the top to me. I guess cause it didn't have that real down to earth feel the two previous had it felt more story like.
this story continues pretty much where the last left off Adam and Sarah and the kids are one the run outside London with all of everyone else. What little government that has survived is looking for Adam and they want his abilities for themselves. They also want Mia, Adam and Sarah's baby girl for her gifts. Some men catch up to them stick them in a military bunker and start experimenting. Will they ever see each other again? how will they ever get poor little Mia out of the clutches of these monsters?

Ever since she was child, Jem has kept a secret: Whenever she meets someone new, no matter who, as soon as she looks into their eyes, a number pops into her head. That number is a date: the date they will die. Burdened with such awful awareness, Jem avoids relationships. Until she meets Spider, another outsider, and takes a chance. The two plan a trip to the city. But while waiting to ride the Eye ferris wheel, Jem is terrified to see that all the other tourists in line flash the same number. Today's number. Today's date. Terrorists are going to attack London. Jem's world is about to explode!
The Chaos by Rachel Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
this was a great book I didn't get as into it as I did the first one but I still really liked it I loved the characters Sarah and Adam they reminded me so much of Jem and Spider although they were a little over the top in the drama department a time or two.
this book like the last was so real and down to earth so much of it was relatable which makes the story seem all the more scary and real. This story deals with Adam (Jem and Spiders son) who has inherited his mothers gift of number sight and Sarah a pregnant girl fleeing an abusive father with the gift of foresight.
Adam drawn to Sarah by a blissful death and future he see in her eyes and Sarah running from Adam because of a future she knows is coming can either of them rum from their futures?
this was a great book a little slow at the beginning but picked up towards the middle then I couldn't put it down! and I went right on to the third book Infinity.

Adam sees “numbers” – when he looks in peoples’ eyes he can see their death-dates, just like his mum Jem used to. Adam has trouble dealing with his awful gift, and when he realises that everyone around him has the same series of numbers, he becomes deeply afraid of what might happen in 2025.
Desperate to find out what could be about to go wrong, Adam spends hours researching possibilities – war, nuclear accidents, killer viruses. He knows something big is coming, but what? And is there anything he can possibly do about it?
Adam, Sarah and little Mia are living together, struggling with the fame of seeing “numbers” – the dates when people will die.
But something is about to tear them apart. During The Chaos, Mia swapped her number for another. Mia’s powerful new ability is highly desirable. Ruthless people are hunting her down. Everyone wants to live for ever ...
